The Polish city of Czortkow (Чортків), nowadays in Ukraine, has been a thriving epicenter of a large Jewish community for centuries until its destruction by the Nazis and their collaborators during World War 2. This website was built by the offsprings of Czortkow’s Jews. Its archive contains pictures, documents, letters, written and filmed testimonials from the holocaust, and serves as a monument for a thriving Jewish community and in remembrance of 8000 of its members who perished in the Holocaust.
